Explosive ordnance disposal (EOD)
EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) is the locating, removal and disposal of explosive ordnance: mines, unexploded ordnance (UXO) and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). It is carried out by EOD technicians with international experience, by strict protocol.

About the service
Don't touch, call
When explosive ordnance is found, a mine, a shell, an aerial bomb or an improvised device, it is not touched or moved. An EOD team identifies it, assesses the risk and, by protocol, removes or destroys it safely, in cooperation with the competent services. Improvised devices (IEDs) demand extra caution because they have no standard shape or trigger.
Experience and equipment
Our EOD technicians have over 30 years of international military and police experience, including projects clearing cluster munitions and improvised devices in Iraq and elsewhere. For locating we use metal detectors, magnetometers and probes, and ground-penetrating radar for deeper targets.

Emergency and systematic
EOD serves both emergencies (a find on a construction site or plot) and systematic programmes (clearing an area with known contamination). In both cases the result is the same: the item removed and disposed of, the ground safe, everything documented.

What it includes
When you need EOD
An unexpected find on a construction site or plot, land with known contamination, and demining and infrastructure programmes that require ordnance removal.
- A find on a construction site
- Known contamination
- Part of demining programmes
How we work
From your call to full monitoring in four steps
Call and assessment
You call or send an enquiry. In a short conversation we define what we're protecting, from what and by when. For premises we arrange a free site visit.
Plan and quote
We carry out a risk assessment and a written quote with exact equipment, headcount and price. No hidden items, with the delivery deadline in writing.
Delivery
System installation or team deployment to plan. For technical systems: installation, configuration and handover with training for use.
Monitoring and maintenance
With contracted monitoring, the alarm receiving centre takes over 0 to 24, and periodic servicing keeps the system in working order. One call and a technician is on site.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions: explosive ordnance disposal
01We found ordnance on the site, what now?
Stop work immediately, move people away and don't touch the item. Call the police on 192. For safe identification, removal and a systematic search of the rest of the plot, contact us; our EOD team comes with detection and disposal equipment.
02Do you handle improvised devices (IEDs)?
Yes. IEDs require special caution because they have no standard shape or trigger; our technicians have international experience with them, including on projects abroad, and work by strict protocol with the competent services.
03What is the difference between EOD and BAC?
BAC is the systematic clearance of an area from explosive remnants of war; EOD is the disposal of individual items, mines, UXO, IEDs, whether found by chance or within a programme. The two go together.
